Riceville cross country competes at Dick Pollitt Go-Hawk Classic

WAVERLY — The Riceville senior girls placed 12th out of 13 teams at the 2021 Dick Pollitt Go-Hawk Classic on the Max Cross Country Course at Wartburg College.

O’Malley Fair had the top finish for coach Bryce Conway’s team, crossing the finish line in 43rd place in a time of 24 minutes, 20.68 seconds. Completing team scoring for the Wildcats were Ashley Koenigs (61) and Lauren Hemann (110).

Riceville had just one freshman-sophomore competitor in both girls and boys races. Taylor Hemann placed 60th in 25:50.75 for the girls out of 150 while Caleb Zweibohmer was 45th in 20:57.89 out of 151 runners.
