Riceville dominant in win at Janesville

JANESVILLE — A slow start for the Class 1A No. 5 Riceville girls basketball team went quickly by the wayside with the onslaught of a full-court press that Janesville could not handle in an eventual 70-34 road win on Tuesday, Jan. 16.
The press led to several steals and points on the other end with an aggressive defense by coach Darcy Fair’s team.
“We did well,” coach Fair said. “I was just talking to coach (Jill) Beran about that. That’s where we played some nice, cohesive basketball is on our full-court pressure, for sure.”
