Even though Coach Missy McElroy’s team lost via sweep, 25-9, 25-19, 25-13, the Wildcats had more than a few leads against the Dons (16-4, 3-1) while playing on the road.

Riceville held a the lead as late as 18-17 in the second set of the match on one of Camdyn Orth’s team-high four kills, who gave the Wildcats a couple of their leads after putting down the attack. The other occasions were on errant Dons’ serving. But Don Bosco flexed its muscle, winning eight of the next nine points to close out the set.
