Wildcat head coach Bryce Conway said that she ran well, and she has new goals for next year, running the Kennedy Park course for the first time as a sophomore, who officially finished the race in 20:02.4.

Four seniors finished ahead of her.

“It was a great experience, meeting new people and getting to go to state,” Zweibohmer said. “Being my first state meet, I was happy with how I did. I would say I was hoping for top-15, but there is always next year.”

St. Ansgar sophomore Lila Powers, too, was mostly pleased with her run, finishing 32nd out of 158 finishers at the meet in 20:26.

“It was good,” Powers said. “It was definitely a cool experience. I’ve never ran in a meet with this good of competition, so it was really cool to be able to push myself and use everybody here to run my race.”
