Kruse is 2021 Mitchell County Dairy Princess

St. Ansgar — St. Ansgar Community High School senior and 2021 Mitchell County Dairy Princess, Adrianna Kruse, is no stranger to dairy cows.
Growing up on an 800-cow dairy farm, Kruse said she has been involved in the dairy industry her entire life.
“I helped wherever I could. I would help milk, move cattle, give weekly vaccinations, feed calves, as well as many other projects,” Kruse said, “When I was in fourth grade, I began showing dairy cattle at my then local county fair.”
According to Kruse, her responsibilities as Dairy Princess include visiting daycares, schools, and nursing homes to promote the dairy industry. She said, “I’m excited to scoop ice cream for the nursing home residents and to do different activities with children to get them involved. I will be talking about different dairy products with everyone and why they are so important to everyday life.”
Kruse says her role as Dairy Princess is vital in this era of decreased dairy animals in Mitchell County.
Kruse is the daughter of Ben and Lori. She intends to pursue a degree in animal science or an agricultural-related field at Iowa State University.
