In our own backyards; a Mitchell County activities series
An unusual turn of events occurred in North Iowa on Memorial Day—the sun was shining, and the sky was a vibrant blue dotted with cotton ball clouds. Well, at least for much of the day. This beautiful day gave me the perfect opportunity to both launch my kayak and an article series about activities available in our own back yards, right here in Mitchell County.
Owning only one kayak yet wanting to have company on my first launch of the summer season, I rented two kayaks from a Mitchell County family-owned rental company, Nature Rx Rentals located South of Osage. In my search for kayaks, I also found River Rat Rentals, LLC located in Stacyville. If you prefer a canoe, Cedar Run Canoe Rental is located south of St.Ansgar.
