Ruth Carol Loney, 75, died May 24, 2021 at home surroundedbrby her family and three beloved dogs. A graveside service will be held at 10:00bra.m. on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Liberty Cemetery, Little Cedar with Rev. SuebrThomas officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00brp.m. at Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, 207 S. School Street, St. Ansgar.

Ruth was born on February 20, 1946 in Iowa City. She was thebrdaughter of Art and Evelyn (Bente) Jensen. She grew up and went to school inbrOsage.

In 1963 she married Chuck Schwab and together they had threebrchildren, Kim, Kelly and Angie. In 1982 she married Dean Loney and togetherbrthey farmed north of Osage and near Little Cedar.

Ruth loved and enjoyed having big family get togethers withbrher children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Thanksgiving was herbrfavorite holiday and the whole family couldn’t wait to eat grandma’s feast!

She was an active member of the St. Ansgar United Church andbrUMW.

Ruth was known for her love of animals. Some of the familybrfavorites were the dogs, Lady, Katie, and Albert, Sherman the duck, Wilbur thebrpig, Queenie the pet turkey, Rowdy the pony and Gracie the chicken.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Dean, son DanbrLoney, granddaughter Jackie Johanns and her parents.

Ruth is survived by her: son, Kim (Beth) Schwab and theirbrchildren Kasey, Arthur, Adam, Maegan and Abby; daughter, Kelly McPhail and herbrchildren, Luke (Alana) Joshua (Morgen), Tyler (Krystra); daughter, Angie (Pat)brMichels and her children Taylor, Turner, and Sawyer; granddaughter, JessebrJohanns; grandsons Jeremy Johanns, Nathan and Justin Loney; 12brgreat-grandchildren; and beloved dogs, Mandy, Hannah and Charlotte.
