“It’s been a good day,” said Osage hurdling specialist Paige Kisley, who won the 100-meter hurdles. “We’ve taken care of business in the relays and that was my first open run.

“Just qualify as many as possible (was the goal). It’s a team thing. Getting to state is the ultimate goal. Getting as many out of districts is the goal.”

The Green Devils had their doubts in the sprint medley relay, but Katelyn Johnston, who finished third and has an outside chance of qualifying in the 3,000, brought them closer and when Addyson Grimm got the baton, she momentarily gave her team the lead with 600 meters to go and eventually finished second.

“That was a good start,” Grimm said of the sprint medley relay and then she later took second to qualify in the open 800. “I was really tired, this is my third 800 of the night and I usually don’t run three 800s in a night.”

Also qualifying were the Osage girls 4×800, shuttle hurdle relay, Meredith Street, a winner in the open 400, Kisley also won the 400-meter hurdles.
