I trust you are enjoying a good summer. We have been very busy getting jobs done around St Ansgar.

r

You may have noticed cracks have been filled on fourth Street and also Seasons Addition, along with other streets in need. This was done for preservation of the street. It will give us a longer life and allow us additional time before replacement of the street.

r

We were busy repairing the waterline issue on South George from fifth Street to sixth Street. This has been a problem for many years. One leak turned into multiple leaks. Thankfully the much needed repairs have been completed.

r

There are additional leaks in town which have been scheduled for repair. Since we have had a break in the rain, the sodding and miscellaneous checklist for the North East Street Project is nearing completion. (Finally!)

r

Also, there is activity happening in the industrial park. The road construction is in progress. Again, rain has been a factor. Residents of Seasons Addition no longer have to see the mess from power being dug for the new construction.

r

By now we are getting used to the placement of the new stop sign at Mitchell Street and fourth Street. We feel it is working for traffic control as anticipated. We have been getting good comments on the newly installed electronic speed limit signs as you enter St. Ansgar from 105 and T26. We still have not found a suitable used truck for the street department. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work toward the betterment of our community.

Have you noticed the improved lighting on part of Fourth Street???
