Arrest made in damaged cabin case

An arrest was been made in connection to the cabin located north of McIntire that was damaged in March, according to the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office.

Ryan Lynn Root, 29, Riceville, was arrested around noon on Sunday after having been charged for his alleged involvement in the case. Root has been charged with Accessory after the Fact which is an Aggravated Misdemeanor. Additional charges are being considered, according to the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office.

rThe Pinicon Alders Wildlife area cabin was found damaged on March 13 of this year, approximating $15,000 worth of damage.
